RiConnect celebrates #GLAD24
Leanne Whitehurst-Maiden, sales director, RiConnect, explains why GLAD is important to them and what it will be doing as a company to support the event.
“Global Lifting Awareness Day is critical to us, particularly as a company. We have safety critical software, and we focus predominantly on the lifting industry and safety operations. So, we're talking about safety checks, pre use maintenance and we're finding more and more that when we go and talk to people they are all aware of it but it becomes part of the process. It just becomes part of a working thing that we have to do. Rather than the most important thing that we have to do,” she said.
“That's why we need Global Lifting Awareness Day and that's why we need to focus on it in order to save lives and bring everybody's attention back onto why we're doing this is to promote the sector and the importance of it.
“As a company, we do lots of things globally around the world. So we do a lot in terms of marketing and promotional material. But in terms of our sales team, we will be attending training seminars, we travel around the world seeing end users, meeting people who using lifting equipment and explaining how critical it is that they are compliant, that they perform their checks and that they take safety very seriously.
“Next for us as a company, we've got a lot of shows coming up. We travel quite a lot in the back end of the year around the world. So we've got LEEA LiftEx, Vertikal Days as well as some shows in Norway and South Africa and the same applies everywhere that we're focusing on everybody globally and getting everybody focused on safety critical checks for their lifting equipment.”
