Training Services
We deliver training across the world through our Training Specialists and e-Learning platform. We also have a dedicated training centre at our head office in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
Our training courses focus on the inspection and thorough examination of role-specific lifting equipment to ensure our members operate to stringent technical, legal and safety standards.
Our courses incorporate specialist LEEA Assessments, providing successful candidates with Advanced Programme/Diploma certificates and a LEEA TEAM card. The TEAM card provides evidence of qualifications and identity and is CSCS approved.
Technical Support
Our highly knowledgeable and experienced technical officers are available to provide members with technical consultancy and advice services, as well as regular updates on a range of issues including new standards and regulations and warnings about dangerous equipment.
Our technical library provides a unique source of information on all aspects of the design, manufacture, testing, examination, certification and supply of lifting equipment, as well as its servicing and safe use.
Official Industry Representation
We are the industry voice for our Members. We represent the lifting equipment industry at the highest levels including UK, European and international standards organisations, government departments, the UK Health and Safety Executive and certification bodies.
Resources and Information
LEEA produces a range of publications, including our Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Lifting Equipment (COPSULE). This code is recommended by the UK Health and Safety Executive and is generally accepted as the most authoritative source of information on specifying, using and maintaining lifting equipment.
We also have an extensive library of best practice information and guidance documents. Our regular communications and events provide updates on industry news and showcase LEEA's projects and initiatives.
Promotional and Networking Opportunities
We work hard to promote our Members’ businesses and each year we host LiftEx, a 2 day trade exhibition in the UK. We also hold regional meetings, a Golf Day and various other events throughout the year which give our members an opportunity to network, promote themselves and stay up to date with industry developments.
Member Engagement
The member engagement team works closely with the members and prospective members to support them throughout their membership. We carry out our member compliance audits, invigilate assessment exams and give technical advice to ensure members are using best industry practices and they are following uptodate legislation and standards. This is done by regular visits and contact by the dedicated team members. We are also in contact with end users and stakeholders to raise the profile of our members and effect changes in procurement specifications.
