What a week in Perth!
It was fantastic to have LEEA CEO Ross Moloney in Australia highlighting current developments from HQ at our Regional Members Meeting at the Novotel Perth Murray Street on 15 September, writes Justin Boehm, LEEA’s Regional Manager for Australia and New Zealand, who kicked things off with an update on what’s happening across the region and what’s coming up.
Thanks to Safer Together for the opportunity to present our End User Membership at the Cranes and Lifting working group meeting. Ross Moloney presented on this new membership level, which specifically supports the end users, working collaboratively with LEEA Full Members, aligning industry users with LEEA's international best practice approach.
Also on the agenda was a practical introduction to the new membership assessment process and what members can expect as the programme is implemented. Attendees were invited to have their say on the new Code of Practice for the Safe Inspection of Lifting Equipment, which is still being developed
It was also a pleasure to meet Kate Flanagan, Trav Heaven and Luke Forsyth at the WA Mining Conference & Exhibition. A fascinating discussion on The Human - Machine Partnership and how the workforce will adapt to the fast arriving future.
