Rory Rorison, LEEA Member Engagement Manager Scotland, Northern England & Ireland, had the pleasure of presenting Harry Milham and Kathleen De Villiers of LEEA member company William Hackett with their ‘Lifting Equipment General Advanced Programme’ certificates on a recent visit to the manufacturer and distributor of chain and chain-related  products. Both Harry and Kathleen achieved distinctions and now have their LEEA Team Cards. Well done!

The Lifting Equipment General (LEG) course is an Advanced Programme, which focuses on the inspection and thorough examination of lifting accessories, available either as 5-day instructor led training or an e-learning programme over an average of 20 hours. The course covers legislation, heat treatment, stress and strain, verification of lifting equipment, components for slings, chain and chain slings, steel wire rope slings, fibre rope slings, textile webbing slings, textile round slings, shackles & eyebolts, rigging screws & turnbuckles, plate clamps, clamps, lifting beams, lifting magnets, vacuum lifters and crane forks and c-hooks.
