The LEEA Training Academy supports organisations in minimising lifting operation risks across industries and helps individuals build competence and confidence to apply their skills effectively in the workplace.

There is availability at time of posting for the following LEEA courses in August, either as Instructor-led Training at LEEA’s Huntingdon Training Centre or via a virtual classroom (zoom).

LEEA Foundation Certificate (FOU). This is for beginners looking to build a strong foundation in lifting equipment knowledge. It covers common types of lifting equipment used across various industries and introduces key concepts essential for safe lifting practices. Developed with insights from global industry experts and tailored to real-world challenges, this course ensures learners gain practical, applicable skills that can be directly implemented in their workplace. Learners will experience real-world learning and practical assessments, including two case studies that reinforce key concepts and help apply knowledge to real-life scenarios.

Courses are available at Huntingdon on 11 – 13 and 17 – 19 August 2026.

A virtual classroom course is available on 25 – 27 August 2026.

Manual Lifting Machines (MLM) Diploma. This diploma qualification is essential for anyone engaged in the testing, inspection, examination and repair/maintenance of manual lifting machines.

PT has been developed to support a wider range of learners, including experienced industry professionals, who may perform better in practical environments than traditional written exams. PT helps you demonstrate technical ability, inspection methodology, safety-critical judgement, reporting and decision-making skills and professional behaviours expected within industry.

The 4 hour course takes place from 09.00 – 13.00 hrs on site at the Huntingdon Training Centre. To attend you must have already attended your Lifting Accessories (LAC) diploma course either via e-learning, virtual classroom or in-person.
