Spotlight on Ryan Hillyer
In this spotlight, we take a look at Ryan Hillyer and his role as the Student Support Officer at LEEA. Ryan brings a strong blend of operational, technical and training experience to help learners develop the competence and confidence required to operate safely and effectively within the Lifting Industry. He supports learners through their full assessment journey, which includes providing detailed feedback, delivering one-to-one support and analysing assessment performance to identify trends and areas for improvement.
His role has included travelling across the UK and internationally to deliver training and engage with members, giving him a broad understanding of different operational environments and industry needs. Ryan also served in the British Army within the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, where he gained over seven years of experience in light and heavy recovery operations.
