Raising GLAD awareness with MP

James Morris, MP for Halesowen and Rowley Regis, gained a valuable insight into lifting during a recent meeting with Robert Wilson, Head of Member Engagement at LEEA, and Ashley Hall, Area Sales Manager at The Crosby Group and LEEA Board member.

The two industry specialists took the MP through a presentation explaining Global Lifting Awareness Day (#GLAD2022). The meeting at Crosby Premier Stampings was also a chance to brief the MP on the origins of LEEA and the broad variety of sectors within the Lifting Industries.

Crosby’s Rig Smart Trailer, which delivers valuable, practical hands-on rigging training and Crosby product demonstrations at job sites, was on hand in the car park to facilitate a demonstration of lifting equipment.

During the meeting, Ashley Hall promoted the idea for a ‘lifting awareness day’ at Westminster, involving the Rig Smart Trailer in the grounds outside the heart of government in the UK – possibly towards the end of the year. James Morris also supported the idea of a gathering of local LEEA members within the Midlands area of the UK by the end of 2022.
