LEEA CEO Ross Moloney recently visited the new offices of Safehold, the height safety and lifting equipment industry business led by Oliver Auston, Chair of the Board at LEEA.

Renowned for product design and innovation, while solving increasing industry challenges, Safehold’s expanding business has led to the creation of a new purpose-built HQ in Sittingbourne, Kent. In addition to housing sales and marketing, engineering, development and testing under one roof, the facility enables Safehold to hold its top 100 key safety and lifting products ready for immediate same day dispatch.

“Seeing Safehold’s impressive new facilities also provided the ideal opportunity to express the LEEA team’s gratitude to Oliver and the Board for all the work they do in terms of governing and supporting the Association,” said Ross Moloney. “I am particularly appreciative of the Board’s leadership and vision, which is vital for providing services and supporting our members over the long term. Having a Board and Chair of the Board focused on how to improve value for LEEA members is a tremendous advantage in helping LEEA to grow and further develop its impact.”

Ross Moloney then joined the recently appointed LEEA Director of Membership, Matt Barber, on a visit to member company and lifting equipment and lifting gear specialist Anglia Handling at its offices in Biggleswade in Bedfordshire.

Anglia is an expert in lifting equipment as well as height safety, access and weighing equipment. Its professional services include design, installation, testing and certification on site, LOLER inspections, repairs and hire.

A practitioner of high standards, Anglia carries out all work associated with lifting equipment in accordance with LEEA’s Code of Practice. Technical audits carried out by LEEA help Anglia to meet its stringent technical and safety standards.

Ross Moloney said: “I would like to thank the team at Anglia for the warm welcome. It was great to see such an inspiring operation, which provides a perfect example of the high standards LEEA promotes.”

He added: “In addition to growing LEEA member numbers it is vital to ensure satisfaction among existing members. It is also important to keep in touch through visits to hear for ourselves about their challenges and ideas. This is one of the ways we can keep close to our membership, which helps us to give the right support. These are important objectives for Matt Barber in his new role. He will also be developing meaningful relationships with LEEA’s international network, overseeing existing and new partnerships to ensure their effectiveness.”
