LEEA in Malaysia
Our South East Asia meeting was held on the 17 June, at the Traders Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. There were 25 attendees representing 15 companies, with a great presentation from Stuart Glennie from The Crosby Group on 'Safety in every lift'.
LEEA gave presentations on the association’s CEO report and the Technical Triage System. We have found that the majority of technical queries are coming from the UK, with only a small percentage coming from South East Asia. We are hoping that an awareness of this system will mean that the Technical Triage is more widely used all over the world. This is a resource we really want our global members to use and benefit from.
As always, it was a great time to connect with our members that are a little further afield. We hope that it was beneficial and that they took away some tips and ways that LEEA can be used in their organisation. A big thank you to everyone who attended!
The following day, LEEA representatives met with member companies based in Malaysia and Indonesia who are training providers. The aim of this meeting was to look into the possibility of teaching LEEA courses in Bahasa. The possible limitations and obstacles were discussed, but we are thrilled to be moving forward with this.
An informative and interesting brainstorming session of the inaugural Regional Training Focus Group also took place. This is a huge undertaking, but we want our training to be as accessible as possible. Thank you to all the group members for their valued input.
