Modulift relaunches Trunnion Spreader Beam with a new design
Modulift has redesigned its popular Trunnion Spreader Beam, offering a lighter weight design with cost savings to match.
Since its launch in 2015 the Trunnion Spreader Beam has been well received by those in the Offshore, Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy sector as well as those in Logistics, Construction and Nuclear sectors. All keen to benefit from the reduced weight and rigging advantages it has to offer.
“The new design is the result of meticulous Advanced Finite Element Analysis. The geometrically non-linear trunnions undergo validation through leading technical engineering software, ensuring a robust and effective design” said Harshal Kulkarni, Engineering Manager, Modulift.
“The Trunnion demonstrates Modulift's commitment to innovative design engineering. DNV has approved the design methodology, adhering to industry standards Eurocode 3, DNV-CG-0127, DNV-RU-SHIP Pt.3 Ch.7, and DNV-RP-C208.”
Trunnion requires no shackles or drop links and is available in multiple sizes. Compatible with the existing MOD Spreader Beam range, the Trunnion End Unit is interchangeable with struts from the MOD 110 up to the MOD 600/1000 product lines.
"The trunnion marks another milestone in our commitment to providing innovative lifting solutions," said Sarah Spivey, Managing Director, Modulift. "The improvements not only enhance the efficiency and safety of lifting operations but also underscore our dedication to meeting the evolving needs of our diverse customer base."
