LEEA Summer Event 2026

The LEEA Summer Event took place on 9 and 10 June at Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort – a countryside retreat set within 190 acres of Lincolnshire woodland, featuring an award-winning 27-hole championship golf course, spa and leisure facilities. Building on the success of previous years, members enjoyed the perfect combination of professional development, networking, and relaxation.

LEEA thanks our speakers for the Lifting Industry Masterclass, which provided an afternoon of insight, best practice, and actionable advice from our six expert speakers.

Harry Palmer of TT Club explained how underwriters evaluate equipment liability, employer's liability, safety processes, as well as the documentation and processes that help reduce premiums and the gaps that increase exposure. Leon Bowler of Qualitrain looked at how lifting businesses can use apprenticeship programmes to build their workforce. Jamie Davies, ran through the documentation, record-keeping and risk assessment obligations that lifting businesses carry, and what happens when they are not met. Matthew Breakell reviewed recent health and safety cases that have gone through the criminal courts, assessing the issues arising and the sentences the Court has imposed. WibWob’s Bob Harwood gave an overview of the workings of brand, marketing and video and Adam Chipperfield concluded the masterclass sessions with an in-depth overview of the new LEEA assessment.

A big thank you to everybody who came to LEEA’s Summer Event, got involved, networked and, of course, golfed.
