Global Lifting Awareness Day 2026 Announcement

We are pleased to announce that the seventh edition of Global Lifting Awareness Day (GLAD) will take place on Thursday 2 July 2026. This year’s theme, “Not all lifting equipment is created equal,” highlights the importance of understanding quality, suitability, and safety when selecting lifting solutions.

Now in its seventh year, the event - powered by LEEA, its members, and industry stakeholders - will culminate in the publication of a practical guidance document. This resource is designed to support procurement professionals in sourcing lifting equipment with confidence and clarity.

GLAD continues to be widely celebrated across the sector, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, and end users to promote safe, high-quality load lifting. A wide range of content, which includes social media posts, videos, articles, and in-person activities - will once again be shared.

Alongside GLAD, LEEA leads independent annual campaigns that deliver meaningful, industry-focused content. These initiatives support a long-term vision of a lifting and height safety sector free from accidents, injuries, and fatalities, driven by a mission to educate, influence, and enable best practice as standard.

This year’s campaign is underpinned by a dedicated programme aimed at helping the industry describe its products more clearly - and procure them more effectively.
