Five great reasons to attend LiftEx 2023

LEEA CEO Ross Moloney outlines five great reasons why anybody involved with lifting needs to come to LiftEx 2023 in Liverpool.

LiftEx is my favourite two days of the year. This year it is on 21-22nd November in Liverpool and is sponsored by Core RFID. It’s where the industry gets together spends time with each other, shares ideas and talks about business. It is a great two days to come and spend time with people that you work with. Anyone and everyone can come to LiftEx, which is free to attend – registration is open now at: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/liftex-2023-tickets-602657353367.

There are two particular audiences for the event. The first comprises specialists within what is a niche industry – so come along if you work in lifting equipment because there will be something of value. Then there is the more general audience of people who use lifting equipment on a daily basis. We know in the North West of England there are lots of people in many different industries who use lifting equipment. If you come to the exhibition, you will pick up some information and, importantly, coming to LiftEx will make your day-to-day activities safer. Here are five great reasons to visit LiftEx 2023:

  1. Finding solutions to help meet your challenges. LiftEx offers the chance to meet more than 80 global exhibitors showing lifting products and services – many brand new to the show.

  2. Expand your knowledge by attending free training sessions and presentations on topics delivered by LEEA Accredited Training Scheme members at the ATS Seminar, which is being held on Day One of LiftEx. ATS offers members the opportunity to gain accreditation for their own training courses, which cover key areas of interest to users of lifting equipment. These sessions are aimed at end users, as well as those interested in lifting industry training within their organisation. Six LEEA approved training companies are offering presentations and mini training sessions within the seminar. Space is limited and registration is required for each individual session:
  • Tensology on the Deterioration of crane ropes
  • Mentor Training on Load Estimation
  • GGR Group on GGR Group Training: incentre – onsite – online
  • Complete Training Solutions on Complete Training Solutions – your LEEA ATS member
  • Certex (UK) on wire rope socketing
  • Elevation Training and development on Sling Mode Factors.

  1. With so much of our world viewed online, it is refreshing to be actually able to talk to real people and view for yourself all the latest lifting products including hoists, mobile and overhead cranes, steel chains, wire rope, winches, shackles, web slings, rigging, spreader beams, height safety and load monitoring equipment, IT solutions and more.

  2. Improve your operational safety by discoveringhow to make day-to-day lifting activities safer with advice from experts on the LEEA stand.

  3. Network with your peers in the expo, at the pre-event social at Anfield Stadium, home of Liverpool FC, and at the 5th AnnualLEEA Awards – the lifting industry's party of the year. LEEA introduced the Award scheme because the Association wants to formally celebrate industry excellence. And we are pleased to have comedian, presenter, actor and singer, Jason Manford as our special guest.
