Exciting developments
I was fortunate to recently be back in Auckland, writes Justin Boehm, LEEA Regional Manager – Australia & New Zealand. Thank you to LEEA Senior Training Specialist Dave Tucker for making the trip over to deliver Foundation training at short notice at Cookes. Our industry technicians from Qube Ports New Zealand (formerly ISO Limited), Cookes and Shaw's Wire Ropes invested time to learn new skills, knowledge and behaviours through LEEA’s industry training. Industry capability is built through training, shared knowledge and strong collaboration across the sector.

It is always a pleasure to spend time with Andrew Foy of Steel & Tube Holdings Ltd, Sam Linder of Shaw's Wire Ropes and Lara Manley (nee Williams) of PCANZ. Your insights and industry perspective are always appreciated.
Attending the i3net (Illawarra Innovative Industry Network) breakfast it was great to hear about the strong momentum building across the Illawarra. Thank you to Bianca Perry for continuing to create valuable opportunities for the region’s industries to connect.
It was also great to reconnect there with Tania Brown and Nikki McCarthy Hicks, and to meet James Welch and Tom Ellicott from Access Law Group Wollongong (the use of AI is one we all need to come to grips with), along with Mathew McGlashan from TAFE NSW. The Illawarra continues to position itself as a region to watch. I also got to see pewag Australia and its testing facilities. Thank you to Paul Aleckson and Nicholas Prince for the tour.
