Calling on LEEA members to help support apprenticeship delivery
LEEA is seeking members that would be willing to support our apprenticeship training providers with just one element of the ST0872 Lifting Equipment Technician Apprenticeship standard.
The specific element is as follows:
Duty 14: Assemble lifting equipment such as chain slings or steel wire rope slings to client specification and current industry standard.
Skill (7): Manufacture/assemble steel wire rope slings in accordance with applicable standards/specifications.
The support LEEA is seeking will involve the member company offering 2-day off-the-job training in this important specific element to be undertaken by each apprentice. LEEA is simply looking for members who are interested in providing this element of support. The commercial arrangements are between the member and the apprenticeship training provider.
The Level 3 Lifting Equipment Technician Apprenticeship is only available to residents of England at companies registered in England. It opens up a wide choice of opportunities to work with lifting equipment in all kinds of applications and career paths. Apprenticeships are a great first step towards not only creating expertise from the first day a career commences, but also for generating a new breed of experts that can keep pace with the changing world of lifting around them.
