As part of LEEA’s YouTube channel, ‘Be my Guest…’ series, Jenny Eagle speaks to Chloe White, Sales Administrator, Certex UK, about completing The Great North Run for October Breast Cancer Awareness Month and attending this year’s LiftEx 2023.

This year is no exception in excellence as Chloe White, Sales Administrator, Certex UK, completed her first half marathon 13.1 miles (or 21.1km) as part of the Great North Run, raising money for Breast Cancer Now, a UK charity.
White joined Certex UK in April this year and is part of the internal sales team, with responsibilities for preparing quotes for customers, tender pricing, and liaising with suppliers and end users.
She decided to take part in the half marathon in honour of her grandmother, who sadly died from breast cancer.
“Completing the half marathon was very difficult, very challenging, but overall, an amazing experience. Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away from breast cancer, so that was my reason for picking the charity. I did it with my boyfriend and his family and am delighted to have raised £370 for charity so far,” she said.
“It was the first time I've ever done a half marathon and I'm actually thinking of doing it again next year. Just being a competitive person means I would love to beat my finish time.
“I’m actually new to the lifting industry and find it really interesting. I’ve only been in the role for six months but I’m looking forward to getting out and meeting people on-site and making some customer visits.”
The 2023 Great North Run route starts in Newcastle city centre and finishes at South Shields.
