A big boats and a big expo
A big week at the beginning of November: big boats, big dollars and a big expo. It was an eye opening experience to be at Indo Pacific International Maritime Exposition at the ICC in Sydney, writes Justin Boehm, Regional Manager – Australia & New Zealand. The Lifting Equipment Industry will be heavily involved in these major defence projects, especially as we move forward with all things AUKUS. From building facilities, logistics and then the submarine build itself - it will be an enormous undertaking. It was great to see Paul Aleckson from pewag Australia, Matt Pauli from RUD Australia and many colleagues from South Australia now involved in this space. I also had a great opportunity to learn from LEEA Board Member and Director of William Hackett, Ben Burgess.
The Indo Pacific International Maritime Exposition is a biennial global business event incorporating an international industry exhibition and comprehensive conference programme. Indo Pacific is strongly supported by the Royal Australian Navy and attracts senior merchant marine, shore services, maritime and defence industry, military and government decision-makers from around the world. The 2027 edition will be held on 2-4 November at International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney. The Indo Pacific International Maritime Exposition is organised and conducted by AMDA Foundation Limited.
