LEEA Technical Forum: Member Roundtable

How Do You Know What You're Getting? Quality, Marking and Purchasing Decisions in Lifting | LEEA Roundtable, Aberdeen
When lifting equipment reaches the procurement desk, it comes with a product description, a data sheet and a set of markings. The question this roundtable is designed to explore is whether that is enough to make the right decision, and what it would take, on both sides of the market, to make it so.
Join LEEA in Aberdeen for a facilitated roundtable bringing together HSE, LEEA Members and Industry experts to examine one of the industry's most persistent and underexamined risks: the gap between what equipment is marked as, and what it actually needs to be for the application, environment and intensity of use it will face.
The session is held under Chatham House rules. Contributions inform LEEA's ongoing consultation on product marking conventions and the development of practical guidance for the lifting industry.
Date: 19th March 2026 Location: CURL, Aberdeen Format: Facilitated roundtablen Duration: Approximately 2 hours
