Proficiency Testing Assessment

Overview

The Academy is introducing a new Proficiency Testing (PT) assessment route, which gives learners the opportunity to demonstrate real-world ability through practical, assessor-observed tasks in a controlled testing environment.

PT has been developed to support a wider range of learners, including experienced industry professionals, who may perform better in practical environments than traditional written exams.

Duration

4 hours - 09.00 - 13.00 hrs on site at Huntingdon Training Centre

Delegates

To attend you must have already attended your Lifting Accessories (LAC) Diploma Course either via e-learning, Virtual clasroon or In Person

PT helps you demonstrate:

Technical ability.
Inspection methodology.
Safety-critical judgement.
Reporting and decision-making skills.
Professional behaviours expected within industry.

PT is the same LEEA qualification, just an alternative route to assessment. We are assessing the process of thorough examinations, from planning and preparation, to carrying out the examination in a systematic and logical manner. Candidates will also be expected to make a written report on all equipment examined and justify their decisions.

This face-to-face, practical approach provides a real-world assessment of proficiency, reinforcing critical skills and promoting safer working practices across the industry.
