LEEA welcomes Samsung
A delegation from Samsung South Korea visited LEEA’s Huntingdon facilities on 29 April, where they were welcomed by LEEA’s Ross Moloney, Andrew Wright, Robert Wilson and Baz Trewhella 29 April 2019.
The delegates representing Samsung were Seongkook Jeong, Sungchul Choi and Sehoon Yang, all from the Health and Safety and training divisions within the organisation.
The meeting was to establish how LEEA could assist Samsung in the further development of their training and overall the Lifting Industry in South Korea.
After a series of presentations by both organisations, Samsung expressed an interest in joining LEEA for a variety of reasons. Currently Samsung in South Korea has the only training venue for the lifting industry in the country and as a consequence has identified that it would like to add significant prestige to their training product by joining LEEA, for the betterment of the industry in the region. In doing so, Samsung would be the first organisation in the region to engage the services of LEEA. Although LEEA operates in the South East Asia, it has not previously visited South Korea, so this was a valuable and significant meeting between the organisations.
Having received a warm welcome in Huntingdon, the Korean company has reciprocated with an invitation to LEEA to visit Samsung’s facilities, which was gratefully received and LEEA looks forward to engaging further with Samsung in the near future.
