LEEA in Belfast
LEEA held its Belfast Regional Meeting on the 4 June at the Crowne Plaza Belfast. We had 13 attendees, representing eight companies.
Talurit exhibited on the day, and the meeting also received an informative presentation from Ashley Hall from The Crosby Group on the Inspection of Lifting Accessories. There was a great air of discussion as LEEA explained some of the association’s 2019 initiatives, with presentations on the Technical Triage System and the CEO’s 2018 annual report, to show what we did in 2018 and what we're looking to do in the future.
The apprenticeship garnered particularly interest, due to the difficulty with apprenticeships from England being transferred to Ireland. This is something that LEEA will be looking into to make sure that the apprenticeship would be more widely available.
It was a great day, and very encouraging for us to see the questions and enthusiasm from the members present.
