LEEA members welcomed to iMechE seminars

IMechE warmly welcomes LEEA members and their colleagues to two Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) events in the autumn of 2022 in which the Association is participating. The first, Crane Safety 2022, takes place on 13 September 2022 at One Birdcage Walk, London

Now in its seventh year and returning to its in-person format, the event will once again act as THE forum to find out how to meet the challenge of achieving safe, compliant lifting operations.

LEEA’s Head of Technical Services Ben Dobbs will once more be contributing to the event programme, providing insights into the state of the art in condition monitoring for enhancing crane operation.

He will be joined by representatives from Health and Safety Executive, Bowmer & Kirkland, Sellafield, Sparrows Group, the Temporary Works Forum, NOCN, Ainscough Crane Hire and much more. They will cover lifting-specific regulations, incident management, best practice for crane planning with examples in industry, recent technical innovations and much more.

Join the seminar in September to learn about how to enhance safety, effectively manage risk and reduce incidents during lifting operations.

A discount is available for LEEA members: save 20% on your place with code SPEAKER20, simply contact the IMechE’s Event Enquiries team at eventenquiries@imeche.org and mention the code when booking. Further information on the event can be found at www.imeche.org/cranesafety2022.

The second event, Nuclear Lifting 2022, takes place on 16 November 2022 in Manchester. Also returning to its live, in-person format, the event is dedicated to supporting engineers and professionals involved in lifting projects across the nuclear sector, covering operational, new build and decommissioned sites.

Join the seminar in Manchester to understand how to carry out safe, compliant lifting projects in this sector. Attendees can learn the lessons from recent lifting projects, explore long-term strategies, develop unique safety cases and identify cost-effective designs that meet regulated standards. Presenters confirmed for 2022 include Atkins Global, Sellafield Sites, AFRY Solutions, Babcock International and more.

Discount for LEEA members: chose the Supporting Organisation rate at the event website or contact Event Enquiries at eventenquiries@imeche.org and mention your LEEA membership. Further information on the event can be found at https://events.imeche.org
