Denis Hogan retires

Denis Hogan, LEEA’s Performance Special Projects Manager retires this month after 48 years in the steel processing, and lifting industries as well as an involvement in Quality Management Systems since 1974 (pre BS5750). Denis will be much missed by all of the LEEA team and the membership who have all highly valued his tremendous depth of experience and expertise of lifting issues.

Overseeing all aspects of LEEA's quality management system and performance, Denis also managed all of LEEA's project work. This included the creation and implementation of the LEEA project management system and the on-going review of performance against the project targets and goals. He was responsible for the maintenance, implementation and accreditation of the Association’s documented ISO 9001 management systems.

An immense contribution to the Association also includes providing technical support, consultation and liaison activities with LEEA Members worldwide and mentoring of staff in matters related to the QMS and compliance auditing of LEEA members.

Denis’ time with LEEA in Huntingdon began in April 2011 as UK Country Manager and Technical Officer. In January 2013 Denis became Regional Manger – West, looking after technical audits, consultation and liaison activities with LEEA Members in the Americas, Europe and parts of West Africa. He also provided technical support and management of the LEEA Technical Officers in the UK. In 2016 he became Quality & Technical Support Manager, providing technical support, consultation and liaison activities with LEEA Members worldwide as well as providing technical support to the LEEA members of staff. He commenced the role of Performance Special Projects Manager in May 2018.

We all wish Denis well for a very happy retirement.
