Be my Guest…Hugh Todd, Sales Manager, Tiger Lifting UK
As part of LEEA’s YouTube channel, ‘Be my Guest…’ series, Jenny Eagle speaks to Hugh Todd, Sales Manager, Tiger Lifting UK, about launching a Macmillan Cancer coffee morning for October Breast Cancer Awareness Month and exhibiting its digital products at LEEA LiftEx 2023.
Tiger Lifting UK manufacturers manual hoisting products including chain locks, lever hoists, clamps and trolleys. It also has a wide range of pneumatic hoists and has some new developments in a larger scale capacity, with 25 and 30 ton air hoists, which has expanded its air hoist fleet.
“We’ve had quite a busy summer, visiting SPE Offshore Europe in Aberdeen, which is great because Aberdeen is such a huge market for us. It was great to see so many people. It's always interesting to see what's going on in the marketplace and see how Tiger can help improve people's lifting operations,” said Todd.
The company is also celebrating National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Pink October, with a Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning on Tuesday, October 3.
“We're all bringing in tray bakes and sweet treats, so it's going to be a sort of great British Bake Off in Tiger UK next week. We're hoping to raise anything between £500 and £1,000. The more we can get, the better as it's something quite close to our hearts that's affected quite a few of us in the office here. So, anything we can do to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we will be doing so,” he said.
In Autumn, the company is organising several training days for people to come to Tiger and go through some training of its full product range.
“It’s always quite good to get people up here and see our facility, meet the team and go in-depth on how Tiger can help improve their lifting operations. We've got a few dates in the diary for November and December,” added Todd.
Tiger Lifting UK is also exhibiting at LEEA LiftEx 2023 in Liverpool, on November 21-22 and attending the LEEA Awards.
“We’ve got a lot of new innovations coming up at Tiger, especially in digitalisation and we will be installing digital chips onto a lot of our manual lifting equipment. It's a huge topic at the moment, sustainability and ease of use. It’s key in a lot of people's businesses and we are fully embracing the digital way forward,” said Todd.
“We will have all of our digital-ready products on display on our stand at LiftEx 2023. So if you want some more information on the digitalisation of your lifting equipment, then come and see us for a presentation and demonstration on how we can help with that.”
