LEEA makes a successful debut at Vertikal Days
LEEA enjoyed a successful debut as an exhibitor at Vertikal Days, the trade exhibition for the lifting and access industries which took place at Haydock Park, Merseyside on 14th and 15th May. The LEEA stand, which was staffed by Geoff Holden, Denis Hogan, Ben Dobbs and Annie Li, took numerous enquiries over the course of the event, primarily from companies interested in LEEA membership and training courses.
“Given that this was the first time LEEA had participated at Vertikal Days, we are extremely pleased with the response,” said Geoff Holden, LEEA’s chief executive. “It also provided a great opportunity to highlight the benefits of working with LEEA members, the importance of the TEAM card program, and to preview the forthcoming launch of new editions of our Code of Practice and User’s Pocket Guide. Many of the visitors to our stand are interested in finding out more about the work of LEEA, so as soon as we have finalised the details, we’ll be inviting them along to our next roadshow event.”
Established in 1944, LEEA has over 740 member companies worldwide and campaigns vigorously for higher standards of safety and professionalism within the overhead lifting industry. Key services provided include training, accreditation and expert technical advice. Member companies are involved in the design, manufacture, hire, repair, refurbishment, test, examination, verification and use of lifting equipment. Applicants are subject to an initial technical audit before full membership is granted, and then to a continuing programme of assessments. For large scale users of overhead lifting equipment, associate membership provides benefits such as access to technical information and training, without the need for auditing.
